On Saturday, December 10th, 2022 Hello Georgetown is inviting the community to help local non-profits this Christmas in an upcoming event called Make A Smile Happen or M*A*S*H*.
From 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. at August Beverage Company, located at 1204 Williams Dr. in Georgetown, TX, community members will be able to drive up to the event tents at the drive thru and drop off their donations. Make A Smile Happen 2022 will focus on four categories for donations: children/teen gifts, food, pet supplies and cash donations. The donations in each category will go toward the following beneficiaries:
Children/Teen Gifts Drive: Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center
Pet Supply Drive: Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter
Food Drive: Helping Hands of Georgetown
Cash Donation: HELP Crisis Assistance and The Playful Child
While all donations are welcome, we’ve worked with each beneficiary to identify specific needs they have this holiday season. You can view each organization’s preferred donations below.
Commemorative t-shirts will be available for individuals who either donate $20, 10 canned goods, 5 toys, or two bags of pet food. The shirt will feature the event logo on the front and the beneficiaries.
Companies or individuals who would like to sponsor this year’s t-shirts get their logo on the back of the shirt, promotion on social media and on Hello Georgetown’s official M*A*S*H webpage.

Donation Ideas
During the 2021 Make A Smile Happen event, community members are encouraged to donate cash which will go to Help Crisis Assistance and fund their continued efforts.
About the Organization
Help Crisis Assistance serves Williamson County and individuals who are involved critical incidents.
“Following a critical incident, there are very few resources available to assist with the immediate needs of the victim(s), survivor(s) or immediate family. Some of those needs include, but are not limited to: shelter, clothing, food, transportation, and medical co-pays for counselor or prescriptions,” according to Help Crisis Assistance website. “Thought fundraising and private donors, Help can assist with those needs.”

During the 2021 Make A Smile Happen event, community members are encouraged to donate cash which will go to The Playful Child and fund their continued efforts.
About the Organization
The Playful Child started in 2018 and honors theΒ playful and joyful spirit of Kade Damian.
Some of the goals of the organization is to nurture the mental and physical health of children & families by cultivating the healing value of unstructured play in our community, promote less screen time and more creativity through messy and outdoor play, open-ended play, more personal connections with face-to-face communication, and more!
One of their projects is to create, design and build a children’s memorial park and playground located at 1306 Country Club Drive in Georgetown, TX that will honor all children who now live on in hearts and memories, according to the organization’s website.
“βThe Healing Hearts Park will be a place for everyone to heal through play,” the organization said on their website. “We all carry experiences that can be softened through play, friendship, laughter, fresh air, and movement.”
