Georgetown residents can expect to see their Notice of Appraised Value statements arrive in their mailboxes in the next couple of weeks.
βThe Williamson Central Appraisal District will be mailing their Notice of Appraised Value statements the first week of April,β according to the Facebook page for Larry Gaddes β Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector. βBased on Realtor stories and the many, many articles in AAS, Community Impact, and other papers, homes in Williamson County are selling at record high prices, even throughout the pandemic. The Appraisal District uses 2020 home sales to determine the 2021 market value. Be prepared to see a significant increase in your 2021 home value.β
Property owners who wish to protest can do so online and receive a response within 24 hours. Those wishing to protest in-person should be prepared with sales data for homes in their neighborhood, and must also watch the videos available on the WCAD website.Β
