Whether youβre an adult or youth, the kitchen can provide you with a way to step away from the rest of the world and expand your creativity. If youβve been wanting to explore new experiences in the kitchen, we have a great opportunity for you!
Texas A&M AgriLife is hosting a FREE six-part in-person series as part of our Food and Nutrition project in Williamson County. This program is available to adults and kids (under age 10 must be with an adult).
The events will take place every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm starting on April 8, 2021 at the AgriLife Extension Office, 100 Wilco Way, Suite AG205, Georgetown, 78626.
You do NOT have to attend every session in order to sign up.
- April 8: Introduction to the program and overview of what will be covered
- April 15: Introduction to βMy Plateβ Nutrition program
- April 22: Food Preparation and Garnishing (Special guest Chef)
- April 29: Food Substitutions and Keeping Food Safe
- May 6: Cost Analysis and Public Speaking
- May 13: Adult vs. Youth Cook Off
Sessions will be recorded and available for viewing at a later date. However, we strongly encourage you to attend to get hands-on experience from some of our most knowledgeable instructors.
