8/12/2021 – Aldi is officially open in Georgetown!
The store opened on Thursday, August 12 and is located at 926 W University Ave in Georgetown.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to offer the Georgetown population an opportunity to save money on their everyday groceries,” Karla Waddleton, ALDI Rosenberg Division Vice President, told Hello Georgetown. “They’ll no longer have to clip coupons or look for sales when they can get everyday value by shopping us on a regular basis. We can really provide their fresh groceries and the things that they’re looking for for their weekly shopping trip here at Aldi.”
Waddleton said Georgetown was a natural next step for a new location and the community has been very welcoming.
“Georgetown was a great fit for us,” Waddleton said. “More than anything, we’re just more than excited to be here and to support Georgetown, and really, as we transition back, that we’re able to provide them with the groceries that they need on a daily basis, that we’re able to help them as their kids go off to school with packing lunches, putting breakfast on the table, having dinner ready in the evening, and anything that we can do to assist that and kind of stretch the dollar so that they can have the opportunity to go on one more vacation or to put their child in an extra activity this year. We’re really proud about being part of that family dynamic.”
In addition to in store shopping, Aldi also offers curbside and delivery, and Waddleton told Hello Georgetown 90% of their brands are exclusive to the company.
“This allows us to have the highest possible quality at the best possible price,” Waddleton said. “So, they can continue to save money with us week after week. We also have Aldi Finds that changes weekly. So, they can come in and find really exciting new items at a really great price point. Things that maybe they weren’t expecting from houseware goods, to back-to -school products, to all the wonderful things associated with the various seasonal holidays.”
Hours at Aldi are Monday through Sunday 9 AM to 9 PM.

7/26/2021 – Aldi has announced their opening date!
“Our new Georgetown, Texas store is on track to open August 12,” Karla Waddleton, ALDI Rosenberg Division Vice President, told Hello Georgetown. “We look forward to serving Georgetown residents and providing them with the best grocery shopping experience. We will be sure to reach out with more details closer to the Grand Opening date, including Grand Opening activities.”

06/30/2021 – We’ve reached out to Aldi about the latest information on their opening, etc.
Here is the latest information we’ve heard from Rosenberg Division Vice President Karla Waddleton:
“Our new Georgetown, Texas, store is on track to open later this summer. We look forward to serving Georgetown residents and providing them with the best grocery shopping experience. We will be sure to reach out with more details closer to the Grand Opening date, including Grand Opening activities and the store’s hours.”

4/16/2021 – Many of you have been asking about the latest news on Aldi coming to Georgetown and we have an update!
“Thank you for your interest in ALDI,” Karla Waddleton, Rosenberg Division Vice President at ALDI, told Hello Georgetown. “We are excited to confirm our first Georgetown, Texas, store is scheduled to open this summer. We will reach back out to share additional details ahead of the new store opening.”
The store will be located off W. University Avenue near HEB and Goodwill.
We will post more information we as we receive it.
1/13/2020 – Construction has officially started at the new Aldi location! We have some pictures and have reached out to the company to see what kind of timeline they have for completion. Here is what Rosenburg Vice President, Karla Waddleton told us:
“Thanks for your interest in ALDI! Our first store in Georgetown, Texas is on track to open this year. We will be in touch to share more details ahead of the store opening.”

9/2/20 – Many of you have been asking about the latest on the proposed Aldi coming to Georgetown. Hello Georgetown reached out to Aldi about any updates they could provide and has learned the Georgetown Aldi location is planned for 2021.
“Construction on the new store is scheduled to begin before the end of 2020,” Karla Waddleton, Rosenburg Division Vice President, told Hello Georgetown.

2/14/20 Update – We know many of you are waiting to hear…We don’t have a date for you yet, but it clearly states in an article in the Williamson County Sun that ALDI has plans to open a store at Wolf Crossing!
“Jon Switzer, senior vice president of JLL, said ALDI, the German discount supermarket chain, plans to open a store in the center.”
And we have further input from a reader that they will be opening next year, 2021
