Southwestern University has named its new Board of Trustees chair.
Christopher E. Cragg is a 1983 graduate of Southwestern University and was unanimously elected. He will assume his new role on July 1, 2022.

Skandera Trombley said. βHis collaborative and communicative skills will serve our community well as we work toward a future focused on increasing the inclusiveness, affordability, and growth of Southwestern.β
Cragg succeeds Stephen Tipps who has been serving his second term as board chair. His term will end June 30, 2022.
βUnder Stephenβs leadership, Southwestern University ushered in significant changes while thriving amid a global pandemic. The entire Southwestern community is grateful for Stephenβs devoted and steadfast leadership during one of the most tumultuous times in our history,β Trombley said.
