After a nationwide recruitment, City Manager David Morgan has appointed Cameron Goodman as Economic Development Director for the City of Georgetown. His first day will be Oct. 10.

Goodman comes to Georgetown with experience running economic development departments in two fast-growing communities in Texas.Β Most recently, he served as economic development director in Leander, which has been listed alongside Georgetown as one of the five fastest growing cities in the country during his time there. Previously, he served as economic development director in Richmond, a suburb of Houston, and served in economic development roles for the cities of League City and Waco.
Goodman is a Certified Economic Developer. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and History from Sam Houston State University, and his Master of Public Service and Administration degree from the Texas A&M University Bush School of Government and Public Service.
