Well, it’s official! 2023 is here and our community already has lots of fun and exciting things planned! Our newsletter this week is full of events and activities you’ll definitely want to check out, so let’s dive on in!
The new year usually means resolutions, goals and new hobbies, and for many that includes a renewed commitment to health and exercise. If this is on your list, the Georgetown Recreation Center want to help kickstart that goal with the “New Year, New You” challenge which helps participants get started on their goals. Learn more about the challenge and how you can get involved in this week’s newsletter.
Speaking of exercise, registration is officially open for the annual Cupid’s Chase 5K and Fun Run on February 11. This event is great for people of all ages, learn more about it and register in the newsletter below.
Also in the community this week, the City of Georgetown is hosting a bi-monthly workshop series about maintaining a healthy yard, a Georgetown woman has been selected as one of two State Master Gardener emeritae, and the Georgetown Animal Shelter has announced dates for their free cat spay/neuter clinics this year.
