Williamson County has been ranked the third healthiest county in the state of Texas, according to 2023 County Health Rankings.
βThe health rankings are a great way to raise awareness of what our community does well, and where we can improve. They give us the opportunity to become more purposefully engaged in improving health and healthy opportunities countywide.β said Dr. Caroline Hilbert, Williamson County and Cities Health District Executive Director. βWCCHD is committed to working with our community partners on improving health outcomes through our core public health services and programs such as the Healthy Williamson County coalition. The coalition contributes to the Community Health Improvement Plan, which outlines actionable steps in priority areas of focus, including access to care, behavioral health resources, and chronic disease prevention.β

The 2023 Rankings are based on data sources from 2014 through 2021.β
