Wag Heaven in Georgetown, TX has been recognized with a national award from the Pet Business Magazine.
The 2023 Retailer Excellence Award recognizes businesses in the 2-5 stores category for the work they do in helping pet owners provide the very best care for their animal companions, the business said, and was presented to the owners Jeff Manley and Jusak Yang Bernhard at the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida.
“We always look forward to be attending the Global Pet Expo. We are so humbled and honored to be recognized for our efforts by our peers during this industry-wide event, as we love representing a part of what make Georgetown, Texas so great” Jeff Manley, co-owner of Wag Heaven, said. “Everyone comes together and supports each other. We are simply a reflection of our community.”
Among Wag Heaven’s efforts to support the community, the business said, are a variety of events including free-drive through pet food banks, low-cost pet vaccine clinics, dog wash fundraisers, toy drive fundraisers, and hosting pet costume contests to support local pet rescues, animal shelters, Williamson County and Georgetown K-9 units, the Georgetown Fire Department, Georgetown Independent School District, and the Sun City Pet Club.
“Georgetown is our community” Jusak Yang Bernhard, co-owner of Wag Heaven, said. “It’s about helping and supporting each other however we are able to.”
