The City of Georgetown is seeking dedicated individuals to join one of our 15 Advisory Boards or Commissions. Our City Council relies on these citizen board members to evaluate local issues that enrich, develop, and promote our community.
Each member serves a two-year term, with terms staggered to ensure continuity. This summer, they have 60 seats to fill through new appointments and reappointments. This is an excellent opportunity for community-minded individuals to make a significant impact on our cityβs future.
How to Apply
If youβre interested in serving, please complete the online application at georgetown.org/boardscommissions. Applications are being accepted through July 28th. The Mayor and Council will review applications in early August, with appointments made at the August 27th Council meeting. New terms will begin on October 1.
