A Nod to Georgetown’s Heritage
The concept behind Gold Burger Diner is to acknowledge and honor Georgetown’s beloved past staple on the square, Golds Department Store. First established on the west side of the Square in 1936, Golds Department Store moved to the north side in 1949 where Gold Burger Diner is located today. This new diner pays homage to that historic legacy.
This week, Gold Burger Diner began its soft opening, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner to eager diners. I had the privilege of being part of this preview and, let me tell you, I was wowed.
From the moment I sat down, I was hooked. Their menu offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner options at an unbeatable price point. In a time when prices are rising nationwide, it’s refreshing to see a diner embracing affordability without compromising on quality.

Gold Burger Diner serves breakfast all day long, so you can enjoy your favorite morning meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Starting at 11 a.m. daily, they will offer lunch and dinner options.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and their service was exceptional. Their friendly and attentive staff worked seamlessly as a team.
In addition to their fantastic food offerings, Gold Burger Diner also features a well-curated bar menu. Whether you’re in the mood for their signature “G’OLD Fashioned”, a refreshing beer, or a glass of wine, their bar has something to complement every meal.
