With the holiday season fast approaching, Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) is continuing its tradition of offering free Christmas tree recycling to the community.
From December 26 through January 31, TDS will accept unflocked Christmas trees and other organic holiday decorations, including holly, pumpkins, and living decor, for composting.
Residents in Georgetown and surrounding areas can conveniently drop off their items at TDS & Garden-Ville Georgetown, located at 250 W.L. Walden Dr. Additionally, there are five other drop-off locations across the Central Texas region.
Once collected, the trees and decorations are processed at TDSβ state-of-the-art facility and turned into high-quality organic mulch and compost. These finished products are then made available for purchase at Garden-Ville stores throughout Central Texas. Garden-Ville is a company affiliated with TDS, specializing in sustainable gardening products.
This annual program reflects TDSβ commitment to environmental sustainability, providing an eco-friendly solution for holiday clean-up while giving back to the earth in the form of nutrient-rich compost and mulch.
