The City of Georgetown has issued several updates and rescheduling notices due to the ongoing and upcoming weather.
βπ’Several storms expected to hit Georgetown this week, with the worst expected on Saturday,β the city wrote. βNational Weather Service has areas, particularly east of us, getting up to 4β of rain through Monday. Our rivers & creeks are already at or near capacity. With the ground already saturated (weβre in our 6th week of potential flooding conditions!), flooding is possible. β οΈPlease be weather aware before you travel.
π§ Blue Hole trail crossing remains closed. The San Gabriel Park pedestrian crossings open, but are likely to close again with flooding.
βοΈOur outdoor warning siren tests have been canceled Saturday.

Additionally, the upcoming riverbank cleanup event planned for Saturday, June 6,Β has been postponed.
ββ οΈ Due to sustained and expected rainfall, the June 5 San Gabriel River cleanup has been postponed,β the city wrote. βWe are tentatively looking at June 26 for the new cleanup date.β
