Preservation Georgetown and The Williamson Museum will be hosting a “National Day of the Cowboy” event on Saturday, July 24.
“Family friendly, free and open to the public, the event offers a great way to connect with the heritage of Georgetown,” Preservation Georgetown said. “Meet cowboys, listen to the western tunes of Evelyn Billington, practice your branding skills and more.”
The event kicks off at Grace Heritage Center located at 817 S. Main Street in Georgetown at 11 AM and will go until 2 PM. Admission is free and the day’s schedule will include:
- Live Music
- Branding History
- Children’s Activities
- Cowboy Tales
Preservation Georgetown will also be raffling off a handmade, king-size quilt featuring cattle brands of early local families. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the event.
