Shake’s Frozen Custard in Georgetown is rebranding to Frozen Flamingo and will be expanding their menu!
“Shake’s has been a tasty Georgetown staple for years and we are incredibly grateful for this community,” the company wrote on Facebook. “As you may have noticed things are changing- but don’t stress!”
Faith Thomas, owner of the Frozen Flamingo, formerly Shake’s, told Hello Georgetown the company will no longer be a franchise under Shake’s and under it’s new branding as Frozen Flamingo, it will keep the same menu while also expanding what they offer.
“I’m just expanding it to include alcoholic beverages,” Thomas told Hello Georgetown. “So, frozen daiquiris, and of course, beer, seltzers, the works.”
In addition to an expanded menu, the location will also receive some upgrades including additional landscaping, lighting and redoing the entire seating area.
“Just really sprucing it up and giving it a more comfortable and inviting vibe for people to just hang out in and eat ice cream or drink an adult beverage,” Thomas said. “I’m very excited for the future.”
Thomas has owned the company since January 2019 when she took ownership after working there for over 10 years. Frozen Flamingo is located at 1208 Williams Drive, and you can learn more about them on their Instagram or their website.
