St. David’s Georgetown Hospital recently named Sara Van De Water, infection prevention coordinator, as the recipient of the 2021 Caregiver of the Year Award!
This award recognizes employees who demonstrate St. David’s HealthCare’s core values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence in their interactions with patients, visitors, physicians and fellow staff members, the hospital told Hello Georgetown.

“Throughout the year, Sara has worked to spearhead efforts to protect patients and staff amidst the pandemic, navigated coordination with the local health department and helped hospital leaders come up with solutions to many of the challenges COVID-19 presented,” St. David’s Georgetown Hospital said. “Sara has handled every situation with grace and truly demonstrates what it means to be part of the St. David’s HealthCare team.”
