November 21, 2022 – Lulu’s Pie Shoppe is open in Georgetown, TX!
“Over 6 years ago we moved to Georgetown and fell in love with the community,” the company wrote on Facebook. “We started selling some cookies and muffins in a 10×10 tent at local farmers markets and the community we loved showed up. We added our beloved pie mobile “Lucille” and the community showed up in force. We moved into our brick and mortar on the square and had our grand opening yesterday and you know what happened? That same community, well…it SHOWED up. We were blown away, humbled beyond eternity and we wanted to let you know how much we appreciate each and every person who has shown up for us all these years! Switching that closed sign to Open yesterday was a thrilling experience. We saw old friends, met tons of new people and I can honestly say I haven’t hugged so many people in my whole entire life as I did yesterday.”
The business is located at 710 S Austin Ave and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. Learn more on their Facebook page or at https://www.luluspieshoppe.com.
August 8, 2022 – Lulu’s Pie Shoppe is opening a storefront on the Downtown Georgetown Square!
Lulu’s has been operating as a mobile business since 2020, but now it will have a permanent home at the former 18 Carrot Bakery, located at 710 S Austin Ave in Georgetown, TX.
Lisa Franke, Owner and Baker at Lulu’s Pie Shoppe, told Hello Georgetown she is excited to continue the great traditions customers of 18 Carrot Bakery have come to know and love, cinnamons rolls, High Tea, baking classes, and more, for example, while also adding some new features.
“[We are] excited to still carry on [18 Carrot Bakery’s] traditions and move it forward with everyone,” Lisa Franke told Hello Georgetown. “We believe in the history of Georgetown, and so we just want to keep on adding to that and making it special.”
Lulu’s Pie Shoppe will feature a wide variety of menu items including their classic sweet and savory pies, cookies, muffins, scones, tiramisu, lasagna and more!
“All of it,” Franke said. “Basically, we’ll be a full-fledged bakery.”
The shop will also carry baking-related items and tools, as well as other locally curated products, and they will offer pie and pasta classes.
“We’ve already been sourcing some things that we approve of, and that we like, and that we actually use in our products,” Franke said.
Franke said the shop is projected to be open in early Fall. Learn more about Lulu’s Pie Shoppe at their website, or on their Facebook or Instagram pages.
