Hello!
Summer is quickly coming to a close (though it doesn’t feel like it outside), and a new school year is just days away! There’s plenty of events happening for Back-to-School, which we’ve included in our annual guide below. Also, the Georgetown Police Department is reminding the public to watch school zones as classes get back in session. You can read more about that in this week’s newsletter.
Let’s give a big hello to our newest Business Directory members: Texas Physical Therapy Specialists, Amped Up Fitness Nation, Mesquite Creek Outfitters, and Computek! You can read about each of their businesses in their Directory listings below.
In this week’s newsletter, we have a feature about how a local insurance agency is continuing a family legacy of excellence and community, and a new group has been added to the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Circles. Also, we’ve learned Don’t Tell Comedy will be returning to our community for another show this month.
In business news, we’ve learned Lulu’s Pie Shoppe will be opening a storefront on the Downtown Georgetown Square! Learn all about it in our article below.
Also in this week’s headlines, the City of Georgetown is asking for residents’ feedback about next year’s budget, and registration is open for this year’s National Night Out event. Plus, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is at critical capacity and is offering free adoptions through Sunday, August 17, and is also encouraging residents to foster animals.
These are just a few of the updates we have for you this week!
