Other Ways You Can Help
βWhen you foster a pet, youβre actually helping two animals,β April Peiffer, Community Programs Coordinator for the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, told Hello Georgetown. βNot only the animal that you take home with you, but youβve created space in the shelter for another animal. So, youβre doubling your impact.β
Fostering provides a great service not only the animal you bring into your home, but for the shelter that’s caring for them too! Learn more about how you can foster animals from the local shelters below:Β

Reuniting a lost pet with it’s family is one of the greatest gifts someone can give to a pet and their family. Whether you’ve found a lost pet or are looking for your own lost pet, the resources below can help:
Georgetown Animal Shelter –Β Visit https://24petconnect.com to look at reported lost and found pets
Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter –Β The animals on the shelter’s Lost & Found page are waiting to reunite with their families, and they are committed to helping them do that. The shelter cannot release any information about them, nor accept appointments to meet them, from any member of the public who is not a part of their family.
When coming to reclaim your pet, please bring proof of ownership, such as photos or vet records; and proof of rabies vaccination (photo of the pet’s rabies certificate) or provide where the animal received the vaccination.
