8/17/19 – We have heard from the folks at Black Box BBQ and they say they will be making an announcement on September 2nd about their new food truck location.
Black Box was on the docket for the City Council meeting this past Tuesday but they pulled their request for a Special Use Permit, that would allow them to stay at their present location, before they meeting.
Black Box is still committed to staying in Georgetown and say they still intend to have a permanent Brick and Mortar location in the future.
Not sure exactly what their next move is, we will keep you posted.
8/10/19 – August 10th 2019 Update – The owners of Back Box BBQ will be moving at the end of the month. They say they will be staying in Georgetown.
They will be forced to move because their temporary use permit will be ending.
The City Council will be voting at their next meeting to decide if they will issue a special uses permit so that Black Box can keep their current location.
Planning and Zoning has voted 4/3 to deny the permit. The City Council will be making the final decision.
Even if the permit is approved, Black Box will need to move while the necessary improvements are being made to the location.
