Karen Block has been working in Georgetown area for over 7 years helping people hear better. Karen opened up Advanced Hearing Aid Solutions in 2018 to offer more diverse solutions for people and their families who struggle with hearing problems.

Karen was born to a father who developed hearing loss while she was a child, she saw what it did to her family dynamics and struggled with how to understand how hearing loss worked.

She didn’t understand why her dad would shut down and refuse to attend dinners with family and friends. Why he would leave and head to his office or garage workroom when she and the grandkids came over.

When Karen was diagnosed with hearing loss at 46 years old, she was in denial. She would be “fine”. As the months went on and she studied everything she could get her hands on, she realized why her dad did what he did and she decided that she wouldn’t do that to her kids and her one day grandkids. She wanted to stay involved and active. So then started the journey….

As of this writing Karen has helped over 700 people in Williamson county hear better. She works side by side with the family and the patient guiding them along this sometime bumpy road that she tries to smooth out for them. Her door and phone are always open and is always happy to help.

Karen believes education is the key to understanding hearing loss. She offers free lunch and learns throughout the year to help people understand what hearing loss means, and to help enlighten people to where they are on their journey.

Some people may be just beginning maybe they only need help with the TV or phone. Some may be struggling more and starting to see the effects on their families. Wherever a person is on this journey Karen at Advanced Hearing Aid Solutions is there to help.
