Christmas Stroll Georgetown 2019
Friday and Saturday December 6th and 7th, 2019. Free Family Event – The Georgetown Christmas Stroll has something for the whole family!
Come out this year for the 39th Annual Christmas Stroll! The Georgetown Square (map below) will come to life with Christmas Magic and Sparkle! See previous years photos.
And Don’t Miss the Stroll Parade!
Enjoy the season on the Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas with twinkling white lights in the trees, old fashioned lamp poles dressed for the holiday, a Christmas Tree Farm and Santa Claus waiting to visit with your children.
Just For The Children
-Enjoy Santa’s Village all day Saturday, including photos and visits with Santa from 11:30 to 8pm.
-In the Children’s area the young and young at heart can try out Street Hockey, Home Depot Workshop, Woo Hair Salon, Train ride, as other free activities for children.
Make s’mores at Texas Design Company, 403 W. Seventh St., on Saturday from 6:30-8 p.m.

Christmas Stroll has something for everyone; including shopping at the downtown shops plus the more than 200 artisan, craft, clothing and jewelry vendors lining the streets.
Travel back in time to enjoy the re-enactment of life 2000 years ago in Bethlehem Village, including a live manger, booths, displays, and performers in costume from the time of Jesus of Nazareth.
Enjoy live musical performances, on 2 stages, by local performers, area schools and organizations.
Grab something delicious at any of our premier restaurants or one of the many food vendors.
Christmas Stroll Parade – Starts at 10am on Saturday December 7th. Be sure and come early and bring your chairs. There will be floats, bands, clowns, and Santa will make his debut! This year elves will be gathering unwrapped new toys along the parade route for Blue Santa.

Street Closures for December 5th thru 8th…
The event takes place in historic downtown Georgetown, on “The Square.” As this is an outdoor event taking place in the downtown area, streets in and around the event area and parade route will be closed prior to and during the event.
-9th Street between Main & Church will be closed from 6am Thursday, 12/5 and reopen on Sunday, 12/8 at 1am
-Austin Ave. between 6th Street & 9th Streets will be closed from 6am Thursday, 12/5 and will reopen on Sunday, 12/8 at 1am
-Main Street between 8th and 9th Street will be closed from 7pm Thursday and reopen on Sunday at 1am
-The following streets will close at 6am Friday to Sunday at 1am
6th Street between Austin Ave. and Church Street
7th Street between Austin Ave. and Church Street

GoGeo Routes Changes for Christmas Stroll
Take GoGeo to the Christmas Stroll and don’t worry about parking! Service hours on Friday are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
GoGeo bus routes are altered Friday and Saturday due to downtown street closures for the Christmas Stroll. Anticipate delays in service due to heavier downtown traffic on all routes. Transfer connections could be affected by traffic delays. All routes will stop at the Public Library hub.
Orange Route 471: On Friday and Saturday, the bus stops along Seventh and Eighth streets will be closed, as well as Stop 6105 at Maple Street and Southwestern Boulevard.
Blue Route 473: On Saturday, the stop at Austin Avenue and Fifth Street will be closed.
All stops will be open on the Purple Route 472 and the Red Route 474.

Will there be any shuttle service from parking lots to the square available for the Stroll. I am asking for my mother-in-law who isnt able to walk long distance.
They are planning on going Friday afternoon to walk around the square or Saturday afternoon.
