Candidates are set for the May 3 ballot for City Council elections for districts 3, 4, and 7. The candidate filing deadline was today at 5 p.m.
Ben Butler and Joe Orsak have filed for District 3 and incumbent Ron Garland and Dave Richardson have filed for District 4.
Incumbent Ben Stewart is unopposed for District 7. When candidates for City Council seats are unopposed, the council will cancel the election, according to state law.
The last day to register to vote for the May election is April 3.
Early in-person voting is April 22-29. Election day is May 3. Early voting and election day polling places, dates, and times will be listed on the Williamson County Elections page.
