The City of Georgetownβs sixth annual State of Our City event starts at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at City Hall, 808 Martin Luther King Jr. St.
Starting at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers, 510 W. Ninth St., Mayor Josh Schroeder and City Manager David Morgan will give a presentation highlighting significant events and major projects completed in 2024 and previewing whatβs to come in 2025. The address will cover growth, transportation, parks, public safety, water and electric utilities, the Texas Legislature, and more.
The address also will be live streamed on Channel 10 (georgetowntexas.gov/gtv) and Facebook Live. After the presentation, residents will be able to ask questions in person and on the Facebook video. Questions also can be sent in advance of and during the event via email to pio@georgetowntexas.gov.
Prior to the address, starting at 5 p.m., residents will have a chance to explore City Hall and meet with City staff and consultants to learn about City departments, as well as to provide feedback on a variety of City projects and plans underway in 2025.

City vehicles from the library, fire, and police departments will also be on display. Additional staff from the Georgetown electric utility, parks and recreation, finance, emergency management, environmental services, and more will also be present to answer questions.
Residents who visit most of the booths and engagement opportunities during this open house will be entered into a drawing for baskets full of Georgetown goodies. Refreshments will be available, and attendees also can purchase food from several food trucks. Flower arrangements will be provided by students in the Georgetown ISD floral design program.
