3/24/20 – The City of Georgetown in compliance with the Stay Home Stay Safe Order from Williamson County has issued the following;
“Effective 11:59 p.m. March 24, 2020, to April 13, 2020, all Williamson County residents, including Georgetown, must remain home, except to complete essential tasks or provide essential services.
For non-emergency questions, please call the Williamson County COVID 19 information center: 512-943-1600. Calls are answered daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
City services will continue to be provided at current levels:

Those found in violation of this order can face fines not to exceed $1,000 or confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days.”
-All non-essential business shall cease all activities at facilities located within Williamson County. Non-essential businesses may continue operations, provided employees can perform their jobs exclusively from home.
-All public or private gatherings of any number of people outside a single household or living unit are prohibited, with few exceptions.
-Restaurants are limited to take out, delivery, or drive through only. All local restrictions on delivery hours for food products or medical supplies are removed.
-People are limited to purchasing 12 rolls or one package of toilet paper.
-Worship services may only be provided via video and teleconference.
-All elective medical and dental procedures are prohibited as determined by health care providers
-All employees must remain home if sick, whether essential or non-essential.
-If a household member tests positive for coronavirus, the household must isolate at home.
-Nursing homes and long-term facilities must prohibit non-essential visitors, except for critical assistance or end of life visitation.
-Performing tasks essential to your health, like obtaining medical supplies, visiting a healthcare professional, or obtaining supplies to work from home
-Obtaining supplies for you or family, such as food, pet supplies, household consumer products, or products to maintain safety and sanitation of residence
-Engaging in outdoor activity, while maintaining a physical distance from others of at least 6 feet
-Performing work at an essential business (below)
-To care for a family member or pet in another household
-Conducting “Minimum Basic Operations” for a non-essential business
-Caring for a family member or pet in another household
-Exchanging children between parents, guardians, or managing conservators pursuant to a child custody order or agreement between the parties.
-Essential Healthcare Operations – hospitals, pharmacies, other healthcare for people, veterinary care
-Essential Government Functions – All services provided by local governments, maintain physical distancing
-Essential Critical Infrastructure – Work necessary to the operations and maintenance of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors per -CISA (see the Williamson County order), which includes all residential and commercial construction, utilities, transportation, solid waste collection, telecommunication, financial institutions, essential manufacturing, etc.
-Essential Retail – Food service providers, grocery stores, farmers markets, restaurants, gas stations, big box and warehouse stores, liquor stores, laundry services, auto supply and auto/bike repair, hardware stores, and businesses that supply products for people to work from home
-Providers of Basic Necessities to Economically Disadvantaged Populations
-Essential Services Necessary to Maintain Essential Operations of Residences or other Essential Businesses – Trash, mail, building cleaning, supply chain services, storage for essential businesses, funeral homes. Plumbers, electricians, exterminators, and other services to keep your residence or business sanitary. Professional services, like accounting or legal.
-News Media – newspaper, TV, radio, and other media
-Childcare Services – childcare facilities that enable employees exempted in the order to work as permitted
-Manufacturers that retool to produce ventilators can apply for an “essential business” exemption
