People like to know what is happening in our town, whether it be entertainment, fun-filled events for the family, road improvements to move traffic, construction of new commercial and residential development.

If you’ve been by the new Olive Garden you might have noticed that they’ve covered the entire building with what looks like large River Rock. It’s going to be really pretty.

September 14th, 2019 Update – There has been so much progress on the Wolf Crossing Development since we last updated. They have cut out two turn-in lanes along IH-35 and much of the parking lot is in.

The construction on the new 2020 Market has begun.
We went by yesterday and found workers onsite. It looks like they are getting a new floor of some sort and the windows have been removed. Here’s a pic we took.
8/4/19 – The 7th fastest growing city is getting a new restaurant.
From the announcement, “..It will be a new Farm to Table, Locally Sourced, Dining Experience for Georgetown.”
“This new Joint Venture brings the Dining & Operations expertise of Manuel Martinez and Joey Delgadillo (formerly of Blue Corn Harvest) together with the Construction Expertise of Bill Paetznick, Morgan McLaughlin of Novak Commercial Construction and Jeff Novak of Novak Brothers.
“Together our new partnership hopes to create your favorite local hangout where you can enjoy some great food, drinks and fun with the family at our open courtyard.”
We can expect construction to start in the next few weeks and the target opening is early 2020.

We have learned they will offer delicious gluten friendly/vegan friendly crusts and a Keto friendly Cauliflower crust, seasoned with Italian herbs.
7/13 – They have started work on the Georgetown Mod Pizza! They have a sign and they were working on the inside when we were there.

8/24/19 – Signs went up today.
Lone Star Kolaches will be moving into the former Golden Chick building on Williams Drive.
Lone Star Kolaches already has 4 locations around Austin and one in Flugerville, and their online menu looks delicious and it’s the same one they will be serving at the Georgetown location.
Georgetown Development Pipeline Map – Added 9/12/19
We found this Georgetown Development Pipeline Map PDF when we were doing some research.
It is dated September of 2018, but it has some very interesting information about what’s coming to Georgetown.
Black Box BBQ – Updated 9/12/19

We have learned that Black Box BBQ has relocated to PFlugerville.
Current Location is 19903 FM Road 685; outside Uncle Gary’s Bar. They are open on the weekends.
The word is that Black Box is still looking for a permanent location.
8/10/19 – The owners of Back Box BBQ will be moving at the end of the month. They say they will be staying in Georgetown.
They will be forced to move because their temporary use permit will be ending.
PoK-e-Jo’s Texas BBQ – Updated 9/11/19

9/11/19 – We went by the new PoK-e-Jo’s location today and they are hard at work on the inside. They have also put some nice looking wood on the front of the building. We are working on getting a new opening date.

7/23 Update – The new store has a really great looking permanent sign now, and they are hiring!
We can expect to see construction of an outdoor smoke house along the side of the building any time now. We’ll keep you posted.
7/6/19 – It was good to see the PoK-e-Jo’s Food Truck at the 4th of July Celebration.
We also have learned that the new target opening date is Mid-September.
2/18/19 – We have learned today that PoK-e-Jo’s is indeed coming to Georgetown and that they will occupy the space where La Playa Mexican Restaurant used to be located. 610 N Austin Avenue (behind McDonalds.)

Willie’s Grill and Ice House – Updated 9/11/19

The new building for Willie’s Grill and Ice House is coming along quickly. You can see in the picture that they are cutting out a turn lane in front of Willie’s along IH-35. You can also see what looks like a covered outdoor dining area.
Willie’s plans to open late 2019.
The building is right next to and north of the Olive Garden.
Description – They started with a burger joint in Houston in 1993. Their modern stores specialize in ‘down-home Texas eats, with fun stuff like garage doors that open, troughs filled with ice cold beer, lively music, patios, unique and custom made fixtures, hand painted murals, plus a sandbox and arcade for the kiddos.

We found a new business coming to Wolf Ranch Town Center. The suite number is 1020.
The opening date is October 4th, 2019.

We passed the new Academy location today and found that they now have a sign on the building and they have poured the parking lot. You’ll remember they are set to open on October 7th.
-There’s also been a big change at the corner, there’s now an empty space where the Georgetown Feed Store used to be. You’ll remember that the owners sold their property and the building and have retired.
We have heard from Academy, they left this comment…”Hello to all of the residents and surrounding areas of Georgetown TX. That is correct we are opening the Academy Sports + Outdoors on October 7, 2019.

We’ve spoken with the fine folks at Lamppost Coffee, and they say they are about three weeks away from opening.

Barrels & Amps – Updated 9/7/10

Barrels & Amps is Open! Be sure to use the side entrance along 8th Street.
The new place will be located at 718 South Austin Ave., but the entrance is around to the side off of 8th Street. There’s a cool sign marking the entrance.
The place is just what you’d expect, it’s cozy, kind of dark and inviting and really interesting. Notice the floor in the images below. It takes us back to the time when the space was a carriage house, and there are going to be 75 draft beers plus they are saying their Bar Menu will knock our socks off!

Many of you have been asking about the For Lease sign on the building…not to worry, that’s for the office space upstairs.
Something we didn’t know is that there’s a Phase 3 to the project and it includes a Roof Top Bar!
Greek Gyros Restaurant – Added 9/7/19

We found a new Greek Restaurant and after speaking with the owners…we feel this will be the real thing.
We found the family, Dad, Mom and Son, busy getting the new store ready for us and they said they will be serving Authentic Greek food, including Gyros, Pizza, Salads and a lot more.
This will be store number 3 for the family and they tell us they expect to open sometime in October.
The outside of the building is coming along, there’s stucco on most of it and some really pretty horizontal dark tile on the entrance. They also have the drive thru and much of the parking and driving area paved. It’s a very nice looking store. Here’s a pic we took yesterday.

6/28/19 – We’ve heard from the owners, “We are moving along quickly! We have an amazing GC (General Contractor.) We hope and pray to open in August but it may be early September.
“Our GC told us we will have a concrete pad by June 29th! Next you will see the building framing and roof within about two weeks!
“We will be moving to Georgetown next week and can’t wait to meet the community!
“Hayden and I are overwhelmed with the community support that we already have and feel beyond blessed to be moving to this area!”
HTeaO will include a custom tea bar with 22 flavors of sweet and unsweet iced tea. They will also feature a full line of YETI merchandise and healthy snack options featuring Project7, Clif Bars, Clint & Sons Beef Jerky and many others.
Wolf Ranch Development – Added 9/7/19

If you’ve been down Hwy 29 west of Georgetown you may have noticed a very large section of property that’s been cleared.
We understand that this is a development by Wolf Ranch featuring single family homes and mixed use properties. The info we have says there will be development on both sides of the South West Bypass.
We’ve been told the name of the development is Wolf Ranch West. We’ll keep you posted.
WagHeaven – Updated 9/7/19

The First Wag Heaven on Williams Drive is Open! We will have info on the second on by the Monument Cafe as soon as it’s available.
5/25/19 – Recently Ken and I had the pleasure of meeting with the owners of the soon coming Wag Heaven. We learned they will be offering hypo-allergenic pet products with no soy, corn or wheat, at affordable prices.
There are 2 Wag Heaven locations coming to Georgetown this year:
-By the Monument Cafe near Lark & Owl Booksellers – The partners hope to open this location late 2019.
-In the Mas Fajitas Shopping center by Cyclewerx – This store is Open!
We understand the Goddard School will be having another Pre-Enrollment Event on September 4th from 4 to 8pm at Georgetown Event Center, 1 Chamber Way.

3/29/19 – There’s a beautiful building going up along Williams Drive. This is a description we got from their website; “Think about all the times you pretended to be a doctor, a chef, a parent or a pro athlete when you were a child.
“As you enjoyed exploring that role, you were figuring out how different people behave and learning through play. A play-based curriculum allows children the freedom to have fun while discovering and exploring the world and their interests.”
Downtown Building Gets New Concept & Distillery – Updated 8/31/19

We understand that the Distillery is still in the works for the building at the corner of 7th and Main.
The restaurant group that was slated for the space has backed out, but we also understand there will still be some sort of a food concept at that location.
And the Owners have settled on a name for the distillery! It’s Hitch Hall Spirits!
Construction is slated to start early 2020 and we should be able to enjoy a brew by late summer 2020.
5/18/19 – You may have noticed the signs on the windows of the former City Council Chambers Building, they are planning to do quite a bit to the existing building.
The location is at the corner of 7th and Main Streets. We know that one of the new spaces will be holding a Brewery but the new design will create spaces for a lot of new stores.
Mango Tango Asian Restaurant – Added 8/31/19

Downtown Georgetown will be getting a new Asian Restaurant. Mango Tango will specialize in Cambodian and Thai food and will offer a full bar.
We understand the building’s owner will be doing some improvements to the outside of the building including new paint for the front and an awning over the large pretty window facing Church Street.
The new place will offer plates for lunch and dinner plus bar-style finger foods.
The area is 2400 sq ft and plans are to open in January 2020. We’ll keep you posted.
The Watkins Building – Updated 8/31/19

The new downtown Watkins Building is coming along. The brick work is finally complete and they have been installing windows. Here are few new images we took this week. Tap any image for slideshow and gallery.
We have learned from the architect that this building will feature a park on the side between the new building and Grace Heritage. There will be out door tables and garage doors that open to the building.
2/20/19 – It’s the new 2 story home of the Watkins Insurance Group and tenants.
Construction began on the 9,600 sq. ft. building last July (2018) and is scheduled for completion summer 2019.
Barking Armadillo Brewing – Updated 8/31/19

The new location is looking so much better with the coat of blue paint and the A to Z Rental signs down! It really does seem like a great location for a Brewery.

7/29/19 – Looks like we will be getting a new BrewPub! They will feature a variety of beer styles from all over the world plus their own beer on tap and wine from surrounding areas.
The taproom will have TV’s inside, an assortment of games inside and outside, food trucks, and different events.

Pet Paradise Resort -8/31/19 Update
8/31/19 Update – We went by to check on the progress at Pet Paradise Resort and we found this great looking wrap around the site. So, we took a couple of images to share, we also got a shot of what’s happening behind the paper.
And from the Williamson County Sun – The Georgetown Location will offer 20,000 sq ft of space and 30 to 40 full time employees.

New Downtown Parking Garage – Updated 8/26/19

We have learned from the Williamson County Sun that there has been a Committee created by the city (May 2019) to guide the design of the new Parking Garage.

Some considerations from the committee are that the 4 story design originally proposed is too high and that we need the new garage to be a canvas for art.
The new parking garage is expected to be completed in 2020 and the projected cost will be $5 Million.

1/26/19 – This past Tuesday the City Council was presented with plans for a new parking garage and parking lot.
At a cost of $5,000,000, the proposed 4 story Parking Garage would include approx 200 parking spaces, an elevator and two staircases; and it would be just under 44 feet tall.
The new garage would be located on the lot that now has 47 parking spaces. The new parking garage would offer 200 parking spaces.
River Place Development – Updated 8/24/19
8/22/19 Update – The River Place Development looks to be moving along. The billboards that used to be on the North side of the bridge and across from El Monumento are no more.
We took a picture of the workers as they were removing the large signs.
Developers Sam and Rebecca Pfister have big plans for the block located along South Austin Avenue, across from El Monumento Restaurant.
Plans for Phase I of the development include a three story building with covered parking and office Space on the first floor, office space on the second floor and apartments on the third floor.
Costco – Added 8/24/19
Looks like there’s a Costco in the works for Georgetown!
The location under consideration is the 34 acres at the northwest corner of Lake-way and IH-35, just south of Holt Cat.
The City will be working with Costco Wholesale Group on the project and it will come before the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission soon.

Salado Glassworks – Updated 8/24/19

8/22/19 – Salado Glass Works was planning to open their new Georgetown location in early September.
They tell us they are experiencing construction delays and they say it will be after January before they can move to Georgetown. We will keep you posted.
7/13/19 – We have spoken to the folks at Salado Glassworks and they are Coming to Downtown Georgetown! Their new location will be next to The Monument Cafe in the building with Lark and Owl Booksellers and Wag Heaven.

We have confirmation that we will be getting a Gordmans Department Store. It’s called an Every Day Off Store with everyday low prices and no sales or coupons; like a TJ Maxx.
Gordmans is owned by Stage, the same company that owns Bealls. Gordmans will be replacing Bealls at their current location in The Rivery.
Diva Chicks Fashions has announced that they will be moving in with Divine Treasures Fine Gifts located at 719 S Main Street.
Diva Chicks should be migrated over to and set up in Divine Treasures by Monday September 9th.
Blue Corn Harvest Expanding Next Door – Added 8/17/19

Blue Corn Harvest is working to expand into the space next to them.
By including the former location of Pinot’s Pallette Blue Corn will be adding close to 100 seats, twice the bar they have now and a cocktail area and indoor waiting area for their patrons.
The 2,500 sq ft expansion should be completed early September. They will need to get an inspection from the Fire Marshall.

8/5/19 – We’ve been watching them working on the foundation and now they have their sign up!
3/13/19 – Firestone Complete Auto Care is one of the stores slated for the Wolf Crossing Development. We spoke with a manager at the Round Rock store and learned that they are planning to open a store in Georgetown. The services they offer will include tires, brakes and oil changes.
Georgetown Pie Company – Added 8/17/19
The new company will feature mini five inch pies. There’s no brick and mortar store right now, but it is in the future plans.
When open, we’ll be able to order online or purchase pies from a few shops on the Square.
We have learned that Holt Cat is having a Job Fair on Saturday September 7th. The Hours will be 8am to 1pm.
8/7/19 – This really huge project has come a long way, they have more buildings now and a sign along IH 35.

Holt Cat broke ground on their 85,000 ft facility January 30th, 2018. The 75 acres where Holt Cat will be is located along Airport Road and is tagged for small-scale industry and commercial use. The city is expecting to see more growth in this area.
Their original expected completion date is summer 2019.
New Fire Station No. 7 – Added 8/10/19
Georgetown is getting a new Fire Station, and Medical Department! Construction is underway.
The location is across the street from St. Helen Catholic Church on Hwy 29 (University Avenue) east of town. And the sign says “Coming March 2020.”

Proposed Streets and Future Land Use – Added 8/9/19
We have learned of a map from the city showing the proposed streets and future land use for Georgetown Texas.
“This is the general plan the Council is using to develop resource allocation strategies and make decisions on road bonds, zoning, water and wastewater infrastructure and other issues pertaining to managing “growth”, ~Council Person Steve Fought.
Doug Smith Performance Center – Updated 8/7/19

We’ve been keeping an eye on the new Children’s Theater, the Doug Smith Performance Center and they are moving along with the upward construction.

5/25/19 – They have broken ground on the new 14,000 square foot Doug Smith Performance Center. This center will offer the Palace Theater a location for their arts education program for youth.
This new 3 story building will allow growth in a space designed and built especially as a Children’s Theater.
The new building will offer:
-200+ seat performance space
-Dance studio with a professional dance floor
-7 class rooms
-8 bathrooms across 3 floors
-Outdoor terrace for events and special classes
-Elevator and 2 staircases
New Parking Lot Downtown – Updated 8/4/19

There’s been some cleanup going on at the location of the new downtown Parking Lot. It may not be as exciting as a new restaurant, but we can all agree it’s a welcome addition to downtown.

7/10/19 – If you’ve been downtown lately, you may have noticed the demolition of some buildings along Forest between 7th and 8th Streets. The project is located catty corner of the Library.
This is the location of the new parking lot that will offer 76 additional parking spaces to the downtown area.
We went by and got this shot of the massive demolition going on right now.
New Convenience Store and Retail in SE Georgetown – Added 8/4/19
We’ve been watching the development along Westinghouse just east of Mays Street for a while now and they are starting to build a pretty large building on a really large lot.
The sign says it will be a 5000 sq ft Convenience Store with Branded Gasoline. It also says there will be 9200 sq ft of retail space.
Here are the signs, one tells the story and one shows the finished product. You can see that it’s going to be a pretty big building when it’s completed.

New Purple Heart Community For Severely Injured Vets – Added 8/1/19
We have learned that Georgetown is going to be the home of The Purple Heart Integrated Project. This community will be the first of it’s kind in the nation.
The completed community will include 80 homes and an 8,000 sq. ft. facility offering high-tech training, co-working space, computer lab and a health clinic.
Plus the campus will also feature a small banquet facility with a commercial kitchen, a swimming pool, a recreation center, raised gardens and a rainwater collection system.
It will be a residential occupational training facility for physically disabled veterans where the veteran and their families will live in ADA “green” homes. The Purple Heart Vets will be offered training to facilitate development of life skills in preparation for independent living.
The residents will include Purple Heart recipients as well as other severely injured veterans.
Austin’s Pizza – Updated 7/27/19

We have confirmation that Austin’s Pizza is coming to Georgetown. The store here will have a dining room, at least that’s what we understand from Austin’s Pizza.
The Georgetown location will be opening in Wolf Crossing, which is supposed to be completed by the end of 2019.
3/30/19 – Austin’s Pizza has 13 location around central Texas. They offer specialty pizzas, build your own, pizza rolls, salads, brownies and more. Plus they have gluten free options on their menu.
Steak ‘n Shake – Added 7/18/19
We have some news about a possible Steak ‘n Shake coming to Georgetown Texas!
Thanks to a trusted source, we have a private location map showing Steak ‘n Shake on the lot beside Chick-fil-A in Wolf Ranch Town Center.

Planet Fitness – Added 7/13/19
It’s our understanding, from a very reliable source, that Georgetown will be getting a Planet Fitness. And it will be the new style like the one they just finished building at Parmer and MoPac.
We don’t know the location yet, but the plan is to open in 2020. We’ve looked on the artist renderings and developers brochures for Wolf Crossing and for Bluebonnet Plaza and we don’t see Planet Fitness. We’ll keep you posted.
Heritage Court – Downtown Development – Updated 7/13/19
There have been some developments on the downtown lot formerly and lovingly known as Eats On 8th.
The location is across from 600 Degrees Pizza at the corner of 8th and Church Streets.
This week large equipment has been clearing the lot.

Heritage Court – We understand this is the name of the development at the old Eat’s On 8th Location; corner of 8th and Church, across the street from 600 Degrees Pizza.
The new space will have Retail and Restaurant on the first floor and office space on the second floor.

12/28/18 – There’s a really big sign at the corner of 8th and Church Street. It’s the old location of Eats On 8th.
For the newbies – On December 17th 2016 Eats on 8th was the site of a fire after an issue with faulty water heaters, the restaurant never re-opened and was torn down.
Now, this sign is promising a new building is coming Summer 2019! And they also say the new space will be for restaurant, office or retail.

The new convenience, gas and retails location is coming along. Now they have the cover up and a lot of workers on the scene.

5/19 – The building is pretty massive looking from the road and it has three separate doors for retail.
No way to tell when construction will be complete, we’ll keep you posted.
Atlas Senior Living – Added 7/9/19
We have learned about a new Senior Living Community that will be coming to Georgetown.
Birmingham based, Atlas Senior Living will begin construction on their new Georgetown location, and their New Braunfels location, during the first quarter of 2020.
The communities will each have 231 units: 175 independent living, 40 assisted living and 16 memory care units. Atlas expects to hire over 100 people full-time for each community.
We do not know the location of this Community at the time of this posting.

The St David’s Care Now is a wood building, unlike the concrete buildings going up around it, and it is coming along quickly. Here’s an image we took, it shows the progress. Tap the image for a larger view.
As you can see from the picture, they will be located at the very corner of the development.
This will be an affordable walk-in clinic alternative for minor illnesses and injuries, such as cold and flu, sports physicals and minor strains or sprains. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments aren’t required.
New Senior Living Campus at Williams and Del Webb – Added 7/2/19
We have learned about a new Retirement Community coming to Georgetown.
The new campus, located on 13.15 acres, will offer 125 independent living, 80 assisted living, and 20 memory care residences. The studio, one and two bedroom units will be leased on a monthly rental basis.
Amenities at the community will include valet and concierge services, several dining experiences (a full-service restaurant, a fine dining venue, and a bistro), a bar and other entertainment areas, a wellness center with salon and spa, multiple activity venues,…
…a state-of-the-art fitness center, club rooms, a theater, a meditation garden, and a courtyard that is interconnected with a resort-caliber pool that offers al fresco dining.
Construction is expected to begin January 2020 with the opening planned for Summer 2021.
Phase II will add 90 independent living residences to the project, bringing the total unit count to 315.

4/13 – The new 600 Degrees Market is shaping up with some added features like wooden planter boxes in front, and a new ceiling for their courtyard.
3/5/19 – We’ve spoken with the owners about the new 600 Degrees Market! And we have some exciting details for you…
The new production kitchen will allow for less waiting at both locations and will feature a state-of-the-art brick oven.
When you visit you can enjoy open case artisan and craft beer, seating in their new covered courtyard and inside seating.

Wish Well House Event Venue – Added 6/9/19

This venue will offer an indoor entertaining space that can seat up to 300 people with a dance floor and interior cocktail space. Combining the two indoor areas is an outdoor courtyard perfect for wedding ceremonies or outdoor dining.
Scheduled to be completed in 2020.
A bit of history from their website – “1920 was the date. And Sheriff Lee O. Allen was the man behind the building, constructing the then, 8 room home, into a refuge for his growing family.
“Sheriff Allen, one of the counties first, was in the midst of helping the future Governor of Texas, Dan Moody, investigate the Ku Klux Klan in what would eventually help bring the downfall of the Klan in the State of Texas.”
Westinghouse Road Corporate Center – Updated 6/9/19

We have some more details about this project, here’s an image of what is proposed.
Westinghouse Road Corporate Center is a 15.93-acre mixed-use development offering offering office, medical office, flex, and retail buildings when fully built out.
Sites are available for sale or build to suit. Buildings are scheduled for competion the third quarter of 2019.
10/10/18 – The Georgetown City Council approved an economic development agreement that paves the way for the construction of a 98,000-square-foot business park on Westinghouse Road.
The Westinghouse Business Center will provide speculative space for a variety of commercial uses, such as medical, technology and professional services, as well as retail space. Continue Reading
We have learned from a reader that the land is for sale, once someone buys that land they will develop 27 condo units. She said the cost may be in the mid-$500,000.

We found this ribbon today along Hwy 29 east of Georgetown.

Historic Post Office, Steakhouse and Ballroom – Updated 5/25/19
Across from 600 Degrees Pizza, corner of 8th and Church Streets
The Historic Post Office in downtown Georgetown will be getting a whole new life when architect Gary Wang’s visions are completed. We attended the Breakfast Links at the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce this week.
The area downstairs will be a steak house with an oyster bar and the upstairs will be a ballroom with a dance floor.
There was a question about how they plan to use the basement in this building. Mr. Wang wouldn’t say, but it seems there’s more news coming about that.

12/16/18 – Georgetown’s Historic Post Office building located across from 600 Degrees will have new owners soon and they are planning to preserve the historic character of the building.
The plan is to turn it into a Steak House and Ballroom with special events, weddings and social gatherings. The opening date could come as soon as late 2019!
10/18 – The City of Georgetown has approved the real estate contract for the sale of two Downtown Buildings, the City Hall (Old Post Office Building) located at 113 East 8th Street, and the The Municipal Court/City Council Chambers located at 101 E. Seventh Street.
There are a bunch of signs on the building where Tuesday Morning will be coming. They are taking quite a bit of space and more than one space.
Here’s an official poster from the former Cherry Berry Yogurt and there are similar signs in the former windows of ABC Scrubs and Cici’s Pizza locations.
5/11/19 – The Tuesday Morning located along the IH-35 Service Road near HEB will be moving. We first thought they would be moving to Wolf Crossing, but now we understand that they are moving to the Rivery Town Crossing where Cherry Berry Yogurt and Cici’s Pizza were located.

From the Williamson County Sun – Plans are to open Wildflower Ranch – Wild-flower House of Tea, a destination location with cottage-style accommodations, a tasting room, a wildflower farm and community event venue in Georgetown.
The owner’s goal is for the venue to be within a 15 to 20-minute drive from the Square. Construction is expected to start in summer 2020.

Wolf Lakes Village Italian Style Development – Updated 4/16/19
4/16/19 – We have now learned, from the City, that this project is expected to break ground for utilities sometime in 2019.
12/18 – From the City…”Initial plans for….Wolf Lakes Village were approved by the Georgetown City Council at their meeting last night 12/11. The project includes office, retail, entertainment, hotels, and 2,400 housing units totaling 5.3 million square feet of development phased over several years. Earlier in 2018 – This development is underway! With many city approvals including the Phasing Plan, Architectural Site Plan, Planned Unit Development and more. To be built out within 10 years.
The development would include 4 million square feet of space for corporate campuses, a cathedral, bell tower, apartments, homes and retail. Ms. Wolf McLachlan described a place where people could live, work, shop and play.
Located at Interstate 35 and Texas Hwy 29; the community would include a wedding chapel, three lakes, a plaza and arched bridges, a cinema, cathedral and 3500-seat amphitheater.

Party City is slated to be one of the tenants in the soon-to-be-built Bluebonnet Plaza located along Hwy 29 across from Natural Grocers.
The publicly traded retail chain sells Party Supplies, Birthday Party Supplies, Halloween Costumes, helium tanks, candy, pinatas, decorations, baking supplies, gifts, personalized products, custom invitations and banners and a lot more.
Tiff’s Treats is coming to Georgetown Texas and they have something special to offer.
The Georgetown location is planned for the new Wolf Crossing Development that is slated for completion late 2019.
Tiff’s Treats specializes in Baked Cookies delivered to order.

HEB on Hwy 29 and IH-35 – Added 3/29/19
There’s a lot of work going on behind the HEB store on University Ave, we thought it might be the beginning of the ‘new’ store.
So, we went inside and spoke with the store manager and she said they are not getting a new store. The work going on behind is working on the pipes.
I explained that a new store appears in plans we’ve seen and she said they were told “no new store”, that’s why they have been upgrading the current store.
New Development Along Shell Road – Added 3/24/19

There’s a new development being proposed along Shell Road, just north of Williams Drive.
According to our sources the city has begun the process of approval.
The developer is proposing 1,047 single-family homes, 246 town homes, and 220 multi-family units, 13 acres of commercial/retail/office, 28 acres of public parkland, two amenity centers, an internal trail with the ability to connect with a future trail to West Side Park, and additional open space.

Parmer Ranch Development – Added 3/6/19

Parmer Ranch is a new development approved by the City Council at their meeting last week.
The total development is 454 acres. At build-out, the proposal allows for a maximum of 1,170 single-family homes, multi-family development, a neighborhood amenity center, an elementary school, 47 acres of open space, for trails, parks, storm water management and water quality features, and 70 acres for office, retail, and medical uses.
ALDI Grocery Store – Updated 3/6/19
It’s looking more official all the time. We have several references to the Georgetown Aldi, we even have a location map now from the developer that says ALDI on it!

Five Below is one of the new stores slated for the Bluebonnet Shopping Center; located across from Natural Grocers on West University Blvd.
Here’s the description we found on their Facebook Page; “Five Below is a store of unlimited possibilities where tweens, teens, and beyond let go & have fun while finding the coolest stuff for $5 or less in over 700 stores and online.”

Here’s another large retailer coming to Georgetown TX! It’s Bed Bath & Beyond and they are going to be located in the new Bluebonnet Plaza across from Natural Grocers on Hwy 29.

Added – 10/11/18 – This development, located across from Natural Grocers at the corner of Wolf Ranch Parkway and Hwy 29, will offer over 600,000 sf of rental space. The developers are expecting Party City, Five Below and Academy Sports plus a daycare, grocery store, fitness and medical.
