Skinner’s Screens has relocated to their original, renovated location!
Mike Montgomery, Project Manager at Skinner’s Screens, told Hello Georgetown the original building was originally built in 1960 and hadn’t been updated since except for a few minor modifications.
“It was just an old building and needed to be updated,” Montgomery told Hello Georgetown. “We were able to knock down walls that were in there to make the space more user-friendly… giving us more room…making it more ergonomically useful.”
Owned and operated by Mike and Connie Cochran, Skinner’s Screens specializes in custom screens for residential windows, doors, storm doors, screen doors and outdoor enclosures, as well as solar screens and allergy screens. In the renovated space, Montgomery said, customers will be able to better see all the company has to offer.
“We literally have the same footprint and the same square footage, but have more usable space just by the way it was designed,” Montgomery said. “So, the usable space is fantastic. We’re able to showcase our products much more readily. The high ceiling gives us much more room to operate in there.”
The business has been open since 1972. Skinners Screens is located at 1111 Williams Drive in Georgetown, TX. Learn more by visiting their website or their Facebook page.
