Have you ever wanted to know how to grow greens but don’t know how to get started? The Williamson County AgriLife Extension Office can help you put some life into your home with microgreens (edible seedling greens) through their brand new Seed to Savor program!
When you register for the program you will receive a grow kit that includes all the supplies needed to start your microgreen seedlings with the added bonus of expert guidance along the way with weekly live educational sessions and kid-friendly activities to help even those with a ‘black thumb’ be successful.
Once your greens are ready, they will share fun, healthy ways to prepare your greens in tasty recipes!
Sessions included in the series are:
- Session 1, March 10th, 12-1 PM: How to Sow Your Seeds
- Session 2, March 17th, 12-1 PM: How to Maintain & Harvest Your Seedlings
- Session 3, March 24th, 12-1 PM: How to Store & Prepare Your Microgreens
Recordings will be available if you are unable to attend the live sessions.
Cost is $40 if you pick-up at the Williamson County AgriLife Extension Office, 100 Wilco Way, Suite AG201, Georgetown, Texas 78626, or an additional $15 if you want it shipped. Deadline to sign-up is March 1st at 5:00 PM.
