Whether you are new to Georgetown or have been here all your life, you might just enjoy “checking out” a bicycle from the Public Library or the Georgetown Visitor Center.
There are plenty of bike trails around town and you can explore for 24 hours before you have to turn in your bike. And the best part is that it’s completely FREE!
You can check out a bike at the Georgetown Library at 402 W. 8th Street or you can go to the Visitor’s Center at 103 W. 7th Street on the square. The library has 10 bicycles, and the Georgetown Visitors Center has 4.
The bikes may be taken out for 24 hours at a time. Individuals must be age 16 years or older to rent bicycles unless they have parental consent. The bicycles have front and back racks to secure your swim suit or picnic basket as your ride.
The donations for the Downtown Georgetown Tx Free Bicycle Share Program come from patrons and from our Friends of the Georgetown Library organization.
