You are invited to ourΒ All you Knead to KnowΒ Bread Baking workshop, brought you by the Williamson CountyΒ Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Cottage arts are experiencing a revival and more individuals are interested in taking a hands-on approach to their food.Β Guest speakers will speak on all things bread.
- Judy Adkins, Texas Extension Education Association will perform a live dry yeast bread baking demonstration on loaves we will try during the tasting portion of the program.
- Katie Sindac, Williamson County FCS AgentΒ will show you how to create and maintain your own wild yeast starter, mill your own wheat flour, the health benefits of using whole grains in your baking and demonstrate adding veggies to quick breads for healthier but tasty options. She will share tips, tricks, and tools for baking successfully at home.
- Gary Pastushok, Williamson County Ag AgentΒ will speak on the relationship between agriculture and your dinner table (Crop to Food). The science behind your bread.
The workshop will wrap up with tastings! You will have the opportunity to sample several types of yummy breads. Cost is $30 with includes: Live instruction demo, educational materials, and tasting loaves.
