Artists are invited to apply for an upcoming project by the City of Georgetown Water Conservation Team.
βBeginning Aug. 1, 2022, the City of Georgetownβs Water Conservation Team will invite artist proposals for the Painted Rain Barrel Project,β according to a news release from the Arts & Culture Board. β These rain barrels will be placed around downtown Georgetown during the October arts events, then auctioned off to community members, with going to Water Conservation education and outreach efforts.β
All artists and student artists are eligible and the application deadline is August 31.
βFrom the proposals submitted by the deadline, the City of Georgetown Water Conservation Team and Arts and Culture board will select 10 finalists from the total number of submissions,β according to the news release. βArtists will be notified on final selections by the Water Conservation Team by September 16.β
