GEORGETOWN, TX —In celebration of Preservation Month, the community is invited to a special panel discussion, “Preservation in Action: Behind the Scenes of Georgetown’s Historic Resources,” on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Grace Heritage Center. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with light refreshments, and the panel will begin at 7:00 p.m.
This event brings together key voices from across Georgetown’s preservation community to explore the work, challenges, and successes involved in maintaining and protecting the city’s historic resources. Panelists include:
– Kevin Cummins – City Post Chophouse
– Kimberly Spencer– Planning Department, City of Georgetown
– Michael Walton – Historic and Architectural Review Commission (HARC)
– Amanda Parr – City Council
Panelists will share insights into how preservation decisions are made, the collaboration required across city departments and organizations, and the ongoing efforts to ensure Georgetown’s unique historic character is sustained for future generations. An audience Q&A will follow the panel discussion.
