Blue Santa and Brown Santa Programs Accepting Applications for Families in Need

The application period is open for families who would like assistance from the Blue Santa or Brown Santa programs this upcoming holiday/Christmas season.

Blue Santa Program (Georgetown Police Department)

Families living inside the Georgetown city limits who need help providing holiday/Christmas toys, books, games and other items for their children (ages 0-17) may apply for assistance from Georgetown Police Department’s Blue Santa Program. Applications are now being accepted through Friday, Dec. 3.

The Brown Santa program, provided by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, can also provide assistance to families who are not in the Georgetown City limits.

Brown Santa Program (Williamson County Sheriff’s Office)

For families who are not eligible for the Blue Santa program can apply for the Brown Santa program which is for families who live outside Georgetown’s city limits. The application deadline for assistance is November 30th, 2021. Click here to apply.

“Williamson County Sheriff’s Brown Santa supports underprivileged children through a general distribution of toys, books and a stuffed animal for Christmas,” according to the Brown Santa program. “Within this primary mission, we get many requests from volunteers to help provide a more personal Christmas experience through Adopt-A-Family (AAF). AAF reviews situations and assigns families in need of sponsors. The sponsor then engages the family directly to understand the specific needs (toys, clothing, food, etc.), shops for the gifts, wraps gifts (based on family preference) and delivers the gifts to the parents.”
