Chase the Chief has opened registration to include a virtual option for runners who would like to participate at home instead of in-person.
“Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 infection rates, we are offering Chase the Chief VIRTUALLY as well as in person,” according to the event Facebook page. “If you have already completed your application but would like to change to virtual participation, please email chasethechief@georgetown.org. You will still receive a packet including a medal and shirt during packet pick up day.”
Chief’s official time will be posted the day after the in-person race on March 6th, runners can submit their virtual run/time and photographs via email at chasethechief@georgetown.com.
“Whether you are participating in person or virtually, do not wait to register,” the event Facebook page said. “Visit https://chasethechief.georgetown.org/register/ and register to catch Chief Tchida today!”
