Georgetown’s Kite Day: Experience “Color the Sky” Fun at Garey Park on March 24

The City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a kite-flying event from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 24, in the meadow of Garey Park, 6450 R.M. 2243.

Participants are encouraged to bring a kite and picnic. Park entrance fees are required, and some activities may include a fee.

Volunteers are needed to help with set up, trash pickup during the event, directing people, and break down at the end of the event. Sign up is available at parks.georgetown.org/volunteer. Local organizations and businesses also are welcome to apply to sponsor or be a vendor at the event.
