Exceptional Georgetown Alliance has announced details for their annual Boo Run 5K!
“Call all runners/walkers,” the organization wrote on Facebook. “Boo Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will be held on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 30th in San Gabriel Park! We are looking for runners, walkers, and teams of 4 or more to receive a discount.”
Virtual options are also available, and participants are encouraged to wear a costume.
” The 5K Chip-timed race starts at 9:00 am, followed by the 1 mile Fun Run at 10:00 am,” the organization said. “This chip-timed 5K race and 1 mile family fun run meanders along the scenic San Gabriel River. Come in your Halloween costume and stay after for a kids’ costume contest! Proceeds from this event help to fund extracurricular events, activities and summer day camp for students in Georgetown with special needs.”
According to their website, Exceptional Georgetown Alliance is, “a group of dedicated individuals from the Georgetown community acting on their belief that all children and young adults in Georgetown should have access to affordable and appropriate opportunities for growth.”
