With tax season approaching, free tax help is available at the Georgetown Public Library.
“Free tax help from AARP is at the Library this tax season, starting on Feb. 1 through April 18,” the library wrote. “Sessions will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays.”
Those interested in utilizing the help are asked to check-in downstairs. Additionally, tax forms are available an the lobby.
“Please ask at the desk if you need assistance printing a specific form,” the library wrote.
The sessions are held Wednesdays by appointment only between 9:30 AM and 3:45 PM, and Saturdays by walk-in, first come, first served between 9:30 AM and 3:45 PM. You can schedule a Wednesday appointment by clicking here.
Additionally, individuals are asked to review this checklist (click here) of important items to bring including:
- Government issued photo ID for all adults on your return
- A social security card for everyone on your return
- 2020 and 2021 tax return and any paperwork (W-2,1099, etc.)
