Our fundraising allows us to fulfill the requests from the director, Sally Miculekβs wish list which improves the libraryβs services.β
Additionally, the Friends have announced they will be restarting their Hill Country Author Series at the end of March. The March 24 event will be the first since 2020 and will feature Georgetown author Karen MacInerney who will discuss βRekindling Your Creativity.β
βMs. MacInerneyβ¦is the USA Today best-selling author of multiple cozy mysteries, including the Dewberry Farms and Snug Harbor series,β the organization said. βShe will talk about the joys and challenges of creative living and how to find the courage and support to follow through on the creative voice inside you.β
The Hill Country Author Series originally started in 2006 and occurs 3 times a year, McMillian said. Attendees have the opportunity to hear from an author speak on a topic of their choosing, with a Q&A afterwards.
βWe always have the authorβs books on hand for sale and new to this event Lark and Owl, our locally owned bookstore will be selling her book,β McMillian said. βShe will be available to sign them which makes for great gifting.
