The community is invited to attend Family Nature Fest at Garey Park on Saturday, April 9th!
“Family Nature Fest focuses on connecting families with nature through a variety of activities, demonstrations and environmental education,” according to the Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department. “Garey Park entry fees are required, and some of the activities may include a fee.”
The event is scheduled from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Open Play Field in Garey Park. Activities the public can look forward to this year include:
- Story Walk
- Upcycled/Nature Crafts
- Wild Animals
- Birding
- Obstacle Course
- Pony Rides
- Petting Zoo
- And More!
“Weβre looking for volunteers,” the department said. “Give your time to Family Nature Fest by volunteering as a line manager or be a part of the welcome crew/attendance counter!”
