Community Invited to Attend Family Nature Fest on April 9th

The community is invited to attend Family Nature Fest at Garey Park on Saturday, April 9th!

“Family Nature Fest focuses on connecting families with nature through a variety of activities, demonstrations and environmental education,” according to the Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department. “Garey Park entry fees are required, and some of the activities may include a fee.”

The event is scheduled from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Open Play Field in Garey Park. Activities the public can look forward to this year include:

• Story Walk
• Upcycled/Nature Crafts
• Wild Animals
• Birding
• Obstacle Course
• Pony Rides
• Petting Zoo
• And More!

“We’re looking for volunteers,” the department said. “Give your time to Family Nature Fest by volunteering as a line manager or be a part of the welcome crew/attendance counter!”
