The Georgetown Arts and Culture Program is offering a series of summer workshops between July 21 and Aug. 11 at the Georgetown Art Center, 816 S. Main St.
Classes are geared toward adults age 18 and older. Classes range from $75 to $120 per session and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents can register for the workshops here.
Acrylic with Sue
Noon-4 p.m. | July 21 | $120
Spend the day with Sue Bishop, one of our long-term giftshop artists, while she teaches you how to create acrylic abstracted figures. Supplies required.
Watercolor with Joanna
Noon-4 p.m. | July 28 | $120
Meet Joanna Karnas-Liu, one of our new giftshop artists, as she shares her techniques for creating watercolor cherry blossoms. Supplies required.
Printmaking with Matt
Noon-4 p.m. | Aug. 4 | $120 + $35 Supply Fee
Work with Matt Bagley, a printmaker and papermaker, to learn the tips, tricks, and techniques for creating a two-color linocut. Supply fee of $35 required.
Baskets with Judy
2-4 p.m. | Aug. 11 | $75
Learn from Judy King, Reimagining exhibit artist, on how to incorporate repurposed and recycled materials into beautiful baskets. Supplies included. (demonstration style class)
