A Georgetown, Texas artist has released her first single!
“My song, “Sober Text” was inspired by my experiences as a high schooler, and fears that what I have to say might not be accepted by my peers, or that my ideas will be overlooked,” Isabella Hope, an independent artist in Georgetown, TX, told Hello Georgetown. “I was inspired by the fact that I had yet to hear a song that expresses the way I was feeling, but I am glad that other people can relate to it!”
While this is Hope’s first single, but she has been involved in music for much of her life.
“I have been an avid listener of music since I was a child, some of my fondest memories of music include listening to nearly every genre while in the car with my dad. I’ve always enjoyed singing, but I learned how to play my first instrument, the ukulele, when I was 11 years old while living in Hawai’i,” Hope told Hello Georgetown. “I later taught myself to play the piano and the guitar, and use all three instruments as I write music.”
Hope also said her lyrics are all self-written and she also composes all the music for her songs.
“A music video for my song “Sober Text” is set to come out very soon,” Hope said, “I plan on releasing another single in June and my debut album sometime this Summer!”
The song is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, for listening, and on iTunes or Amazon for purchase. You can listen to a sample of the song below.
