Georgetown ISD Celebrates Veterans Day

Georgetown ISD is excited to continue its tradition of celebrating Veterans Day this year on Friday, November 10. Campuses across the district have made plans to fill this special day with parades, performances, watch parties, and more.

The public is invited to attend the following celebrations:

All events will be held on November 10 unless stated otherwise.

Cooper Elementary Music Program and Parade

9 am in the Cooper Elementary gym

McCoy Elementary School Veterans Day Honor Choir performance

6 pm in the McCoy Elementary cafeteria

Mitchell Elementary Parade

9 am around Mitchell Elementary

Purl Elementary 5th grade Performance and Program

9 am and 1:30 pm in the Purl Elementary cafeteria

Village Elementary Field of Honor Performance

10 am at the Field of Honor behind Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning

Williams Elementary Parade

9 am in front of the Williams Elementary

Reception for veterans and their families will follow in the cafeteria

Wolf Ranch Elementary Performance and Veterans Breakfast

8:15 am in the Wolf Ranch cafeteria

Benold Middle School Band, Choir and Orchestra Performance

10:45 am, Nov. 11 at the Annual Veterans Day Ceremony in Sun City, Veterans Memorial Plaza

Georgetown High School Musical Performance by Choir, Band and Orchestra

8-8:40 am in front of Georgetown High School, followed by special remarks 

Visitors to any campus for Veterans Day programs are encouraged to arrive early. All guests attending indoor activities are required to check in at the front desk and will need an ID.
