The Georgetown Public Libraryβs second floor will be closed to the public Aug. 5-Sept. 20 for building improvements, including replacing the carpet.
As part of the closure, there will be no access to the upstairs collection, including fiction, nonfiction, large print, DVDs, audiobooks, and graphic novels; study and meeting rooms; the Plant Propagation Station; and the Second Hand Prose bookstore.
Due dates for materials in the second floor collection will be extended beginning July 16, and items will not be due until after the carpeting project is completed. The WOW!mobile schedule and stops will continue as usual, and all first floor collections, including adult new books, jigsaw puzzles, children and teen books, and Spanish materials will remain available. A limited selection of second floor materials returned by patrons during the closure will be available on the first floor for checkout.
The library does offer a selection e-books and e-audiobooks, as well as e-magazines and other electronic reading materials.
