Georgetown Parks and Recreation Announces End of Summer Pool Closures Dates

The Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department has announced the dates for end of summer pool closures.

According to the department, City of Georgetown outdoor pools will close on the following dates:

• Village Pool – last day to swim is Sunday, Aug. 14
• River Ridge Pool – last day to swim is Sunday, Aug. 14
• Recreation Center Outdoor Pool – modified hours, noon-7 p.m., beginning Monday, Aug. 8, Last day to swim is Wednesday, Aug. 17.
• Williams Drive Pool – last weekday to swim is Wednesday, Aug. 17, but will remain open on weekends through Labor Day, Sept. 5

Additionally, the department said City splash pads will remain open through September 30, with the exception of the Garey Park splash pad, which will remain open until October 31 (weather permitting).
