A Georgetown resident is collecting supplies for Ukrainians who are fleeing to Poland.
βIβve been in touch with a direct contact nurse in Poland that has sent a list of supplies needed to aid those wounded and fleeing the country,β Jade Winters wrote on Facebook. βRex and I will be collecting supplies until March 9th, because Ukraine needs aid NOW.β
Winters said the supplies that are needed and that she is collecting include:
- First Aid Supplies (bandages, tourniquets, hydrogen peroxide, disinfectants, slings, pain relief medication and/or anti-inflammatory, antibiotics, etc.)
- Womenβs Hygiene Products
- Clothes and Shoes (tactical boots and thermal clothing)
- Baby Supplies (diapers, blankets, clothes)
Donations can be dropped off at 103 W. Red Bud Meadow in Georgetown, TX. Winters told Hello Georgetown that the focus of this donation drive is specifically supplies, but if individuals would prefer to donate money instead, they can do so via Venmo to @Jade-Winters-2, and money donations will go towards item procurement and cover the cost of shipping.
