This week, we recognize Michael Price with the Georgetown Beard Club, for uplifting those around him in ways both known and sometimes, unknown.
“Michael is one of the leaders of the Georgetown Beard Club that does tons of community service around town,” the person who nominated him said. “He started a group of people to go clean up the Georgetown Square every single Saturday morning after locals party on Friday night. Michael has quietly gone out and helped out the homeless around town for well over 10 years. He is constantly helping out the community from picking up trash on Saturday morning, having parades on Memorial Day and 4th of July at some of the retirement communities, and showing up to support other charities, and, doing it with a fun positive attitude. Yes, Michael promotes a lot of what he does with the Georgetown Beard Club, to promote the club and get others involved, but he does a whole lot without fan fair or anyone knowing what he’s done.”
Thank you Michael, for being serving the community in a variety of ways, and always with enthusiasm! Check out the video to watch us surprise Michael with a Hometown Hero award!
