Huntington Learning Center of Georgetown is celebrating two years of helping kids in the community!
Opened in the midst of the pandemic, the tutoring center has not only survived, but they’ve also thrived and grown.
“We were able to navigate through challenges with social distancing, mask mandates and health related issues; and grew our center to over 50 students, while providing a positive educational experience for not just the students, but their parents and our teachers,” Ajith Varghese, Director of the Huntington Learning Center of Georgetown, told Hello Georgetown. “We are proud to be a valuable educational resource within the Georgetown community.”
The center is celebrating their 2nd year with an official ribbon cutting as members of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, August 3rd at 12:15 PM. Varghese said he looks forward to celebrating all Huntington Learning Center of Georgetown has accomplished so far, and the very bright future ahead.
“I look forward to a flourishing learning center in the Georgetown community helping the next generation of leaders achieve academic success and providing an opportunity for employment to those who have a passion to teach,” Varghese said. “Education is a priority for any child. Catching early warning signs in their academic career is important to help build confidence and set them up for success into their future. Not all students learn at the same pace. Tutoring develops stronger time management, structure and study skills when they work closely with tutors.”
Huntington Learning Center of Georgetown provides a variety of services for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade including math, reading, phonics, writing and study skills, and test prep for the SAT and ACT.
