In early December 2021, Hello Georgetown set up in the Wolf Ranch Town Center parking lot across from Ross Dress for Less for the 2nd Annual Make A Smile Happen Drive.
For one day, Hello Georgetown and Robertβs Printing invited the community to come donate to the combined food drive, toy drive, pet supply drive and cash donation drive. All the donations go to help five local non-profits:
- Williamson County Childrenβs Advocacy Center
- Helping Hands of Georgetown
- Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter
- Help Crisis Assistance
- The Playful Child
See how each organization was impacted by your donations below:
Williamson County Childrenβs Advocacy Center
The Williamson County Childrenβs Advocacy Center served as our toy drive recipient for our 2nd Annual M.A.S.H. event. While many people think of younger children when they hear or see βtoy drive,β the advocacy center also asked community members to think about donating items that would bring a smile to the faces of their tween and teenage clients.
The donations this year went toward the centerβs annual Holiday Market which provides parents and caregivers the opportunity for an enjoyable shopping experience, selecting gifts for their children without worry and without cost.
A big thank you to each of you who donated gifts and items to help the Williamson County Childrenβs Advocacy Center!

Helping Hands of Georgetown
Food donations during the Make A Smile Happen event went to the Helping Hands of Georgetown, who works to feed individuals and families in Georgetown who are in need.
This year, donors gave Helping Hands of Georgetown 300 pantry items, 500 toiletries, and 2000 masks during Make A Smile Happen 2021!
Thank you to each of you who donated food during our event and for your support of Helping Hands of Georgetown!

Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter
During the holidays and the season of giving, it can be easy to overlook our four-legged, furry friends who are also in need.
Not to worry though, our community came out to support all the animals at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter who served as our pet supply drive beneficiary for the event.
During the MASH 2021, donors provided food and toys for the shelter, essential items for our furry friends at WCRAS.
βDog and cat food donations are so very needed at the shelter,β April Peiffer told Hello Georgetown. βWe are able to share these donations with our foster families, which makes fostering a dog or cat accessible to anyone who wants to help! We also offer a pet food pantry to the public. We thank everyone that helps make both of these things possible.β
Thank you Georgetown for showering the shelter with these donations!

Help Crisis Assistance
Our cash donations were split between two wonderful organizations β one of them is Help Crisis Assistance who works to serve community members who are in crisis.
Julie Hobbs, Presidents of Help Crisis Assistance, told Hello Georgetown the donations provided during MASH 2021 went toward covering costs to help those in crisis.
A big thank you to all who donated and contributed to furthering the mission of Help Crisis Assistance!

The Playful Child
Our other cash donation beneficiary is The Playful Child and the donations from the community went directly towards helping continue a very special project: The Kade Damian Healing Hearts Park and Playground.
The Kade Damian Healing Hearts Part and Playground is dedicated in memory of Kade Damian and all children who now live on in our hearts and memories, the organization said on their website.
A big thank you to all who donated and contributed to The Playful Childβs efforts and mission!
