A new recital series is coming to Georgetown!
McCaryn Gaty, Artistic Director of Music Makers and Life Changers, told Hello Georgetown, the new recital series will combine the talents and musical skill of local artists with an underlying goal to help local non-profits.
The organizationβs first concert will take place on Sunday, September 12th at 4 PM at Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown and will feature:
- Dr. Joshua Chai
- Dr. Joann Cotner
- Dr. Yujung Um
- Adam Perez
- McCaryn Gaty
- Lynn Turner
Some of the works to be performed at the concert include pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Handel and more. Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted as this first concert will be benefitting The Refuge for DMST.
Future concerts will feature a variety of musicians and benefit different non profit organizations, which is one of the primary focuses of the new annual series, Gaty told Hello Georgetown, giving back to the community.
Gaty also said the organization hopes to host three concerts per calendar year.
