Get a jump start on your 2022 fitness goals with the New Year, New You Challenge at the Georgetown Recreation Center.
Pick up a BINGO card at the front desk to get started. The program kicks off on Monday, Jan. 10 and runs through Sunday, Feb. 6. Prizes will be distributed starting on Friday, Feb. 11.
Each box on the BINGO card must be initialed by the class instructor or Georgetown Recreation Center staff. Paid fitness classes are offered first time free and count toward points accumulated.
Classes/Points:
Cardio: 5 points
Includes: Cycling, Tabata, High/Low, Zumba, Dance Class, Cross Training, High Intensity Training, SilverSneakers Circuit and Cardio Core
Strength Classes: 5 points
Includes: Body Toning, Cross Training, Boot Camp, Straight Up Strength, SilverSneakers Classic and SilverSneakers Splash
Mind Body Classes: 5 points
Includes: Yoga Flow, Balance & Stretch, Yogafit, Breathe and Flow Yoga, Power Stretch, Beginner Yoga, SilverSneakers Yoga and Meditation
Try New Activities: 5 points
Includes: Basketball, Volleyball, Pickleball, Racquetball, Water Walking, Track, Swimming Laps or Take a New Class
Post your Workout on Social Media: 10 points
Post about your workout on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Tag @GTXParksAndRec and show the front desk. (By tagging us, you give permission for us to share your photo).
Work Out with a Buddy: 10 points
Bring a friend. Meet up with a friend. Make a friend. Be a friend. Work out with intentional interaction
Rewards:
- Get a BINGO (fill a row) – earn a high five
- 25 points – bag
- 50 points – water bottle
- 75 points – jump rope
- 100 points – cooling towel
- Fill the entire card (135 points) – get all of the prizes PLUS entered into a drawing for a chance to win an individual one month membership
